 The 4 Way Test

In 1933, Herbert J. Taylor, a Chicago Rotarian, wrote The 4 Way Test as a step to help save a business on the verge of bankruptcy.  It proved so successful that Rotary later adopted it.  Taylor became President of RI in 1954-55.

"Of the things we think, say or do:
  1.   Is it the TRUTH?
  2.   Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3.   Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4.   Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?"
